Pastene basil pesto is made in Italy from fresh basil, a blend of sunflower and extra virgin olive oil, grated cheese and ground nuts. This traditional Ligurian sauce is delicious as a coating for chicken, as a stand-alone pasta sauce or when added to a regular pasta sauce for extra flavor.

This is the best basil pesto I have ever had. I have been eating for years. I did not know how good it was until our local market stopped carrying it. I tried others and they did not compare. Full rich oil and basil taste. The best!!

I have never really cared for pesto but would eat it just to add a little extra to breads etc. However, my girlfriends and I stumbled upon this treasure while at the beach and I have practically stalked this stuff down bc it so dang delicious! I’ve never in my life thought I could eat pesto with just a spoon but this stuff could be poured into a bowl and eaten as is! Yes, it that amazing!
