Old-Fashioned Tomato Soup


Serves 4
1 28 oz can Pastene Kitchen Ready Tomatoes
5 Tbsp Pastene Tomato Paste
1 Tbsp Pastene Minced Garlic
2 cups gluten free vegetable stock
⅓ cup red onion, diced
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper


Prep time: 5-10 minutes | Cook time: 30 minutes

  • Mix all ingredients in a large saucepan and bring to a boil. Turn heat to low and simmer, covered, for 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. 
  • Remove from heat and let cool. Puree in batches in a blender.
  • Return to pan and simmer another 5 minutes before serving.
  • Serve in a shallow bowl.
