Peperoncini Tuna Salad


2 5 oz cans Pastene Tuna in Olive Oil, well drained
¼ cup mayonnaise
3 Tbsp Pastene Deli Sliced Pepperoncini plus 1 Tbsp brine
1 ½ tsp sweet jalapeno relish
2 tsp toasted sesame oil
½ garlic clove, finely grated
salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
1 cup thinly sliced celery, 2 stalks
2 croissants


  • In a medium bowl, combine the tuna, mayonnaise, pepperoncini and its brine, sweet relish, sesame oil and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Stir vigorously with a fork, breaking up the tuna into fine threads. Fold in the celery, then taste and add more salt, pepper, pepperoncini and pepperoncini brine to taste. 
  • Layer in croissants for sandwiches.
