|3-4 Tbsp||Pastene Extra Virgin Olive Oil|
|1||medium onion, chopped|
|1 can||Pastene Kitchen Ready Chunky Style Tomatoes|
|2 tsp||Pastene Minced Garlic|
|1/4 tsp||tsp dried oregano|
|2 3oz cans||Pastene Tonno in Olive Oil, drained, flaked|
|¼ cup||Pastene Sliced Ripe Olives, with some juice|
|1 Tbsp||Pastene Capers, with some juice 1 lemon, juiced|
|1 bag||Pastene Pasta of your choice|
|1 1/2 lbs||Pastene Parmesan Cheese for topping|
|salt and pepper|
- Heat oil in a medium heavy saucepan and cook onion and garlic just until tender.
- Add tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper to taste and simmer over low heat for about ten minutes, or until blended and hot.
- Add the tuna, olives, capers, and lemon juice simmer a little longer to thicken the sauce.
- Serve on top of pasta of choice and add sprinkles of cheese to complete your dish.
