4 Tbsp | Pastene Extra Virgin Olive Oil | |
1 | medium onion, chopped | |
2 tsp | Pastene Minced Garlic | |
1 | 28 oz can Pastene Kitchen Ready Chunky Style Tomatoes | |
¼ tsp | dried oregano | |
salt and pepper to taste | ||
5 oz | Pastene Tonno in Olive Oil, drained and flaked | |
¼ cup | Pastene Sliced Ripe Olives, with some juice | |
1 Tbsp | Pastene Capers, with some juice | |
1 | lemon, juiced |
Directions
Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 15-20 minutes
- On medium heat in a heavy saucepan, add oil and cook onion and garlic until tender.
- Add tomatoes with juice, oregano, salt, and pepper to taste. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, about 10 minutes.
- Add the tuna, olives, capers, and lemon juice and simmer for 5-10 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Serve over the pasta of your choice and top with parmesan.
