|4 Tbsp||Pastene Extra Virgin Olive Oil|
|1||medium onion, chopped|
|2 tsp||Pastene Minced Garlic|
|1||28 oz can Pastene Kitchen Ready Chunky Style Tomatoes|
|¼ tsp||dried oregano|
|salt and pepper to taste|
|5 oz||Pastene Tonno in Olive Oil, drained and flaked|
|¼ cup||Pastene Sliced Ripe Olives, with some juice|
|1 Tbsp||Pastene Capers, with some juice|
Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 15-20 minutes
- On medium heat in a heavy saucepan, add oil and cook onion and garlic until tender.
- Add tomatoes with juice, oregano, salt, and pepper to taste. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, about 10 minutes.
- Add the tuna, olives, capers, and lemon juice and simmer for 5-10 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Serve over the pasta of your choice and top with parmesan.
