3-Minute French Sardine Pâté


Serves 4
2 cansPastene Sardines, mashed
1 ozsoftened butter
¼ cupspring onion, finely chopped
1French baguette, sliced 1” thick
Juice from ½ lemon
Salt and pepper to taste


  • Slice baguette into 1 inch thick slices, and cook in the oven, or grill until nicely toasted 
  • Place sardines, butter, and juice in a bowl and mash with a fork. 
  • Add salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle chopped spring onion on top of each slice.
